How to Stay Informed About Immigration Trends and News?

immigration trends

When it comes to US immigration law, it’s important to understand that the specifics of these laws are constantly changing. That means if you are planning to apply or are currently working through the petition project, you need to be up to date on the ever-changing immigration trends and news.

Luckily, there are three easy ways to do so via the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website, the National Immigration Forum, or through our expert staff here at the law offices of Voloshen Law Firm P.C.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services website is a fantastic resource for understanding the country’s immigration laws and trends.

With sections such as Laws and Policy, Green Card, Citizenship, Forms, and even an entire page dedicated to news articles regarding important updates, this site really does have everything you need.

However, it is important to note that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services provides information and “ legal advice to immigration officials concerning issues that arise as they perform their official duties” and does not provide “legal opinions of individuals.” This essentially means that sometimes, the legal jargon can be difficult for the average person to understand.

National Immigration Forum

On the other hand, there are various organizations that focus specifically on helping the individual understand the country’s complicated immigration laws.

One such organization is called the National Immigration Forum; as a religious group, the National Immigration Forum claims to use “moderate and conservative faith, law enforcement and business leaders to weigh in with media and policymakers in support of practical and commonsense immigration, citizenship and integration policies.”

But the truth is that you don’t need to follow their religious beliefs to use their extremely helpful website. It has fact sheets and resources, law and bill summaries, press releases, personal testimonials, and much more that will help you better understand current immigration laws.
